Overview

Monsoon Consulting is seeking a talented Drupal Front End Developer to work in our Dublin, Ireland office. As our ideal candidate you would have a portfolio of example sites which you built or were crucial in the development process for. You should have a high attention to detail; ability to work, interact and communicate with local and remote teams within our organization. You would have an understanding of the Drupal backend also. Knowledge of Drupal 7 is a requirement. Drupal 8 experience would be an advantage.

Main Responsibilities
  • As a Front-End Themer / Developer, your primary responsibilities will be to theme new/existing Drupal sites and web technologies, assist in site development and enhance website functionality and user experience.
  • Design, Modification and Maintenance of websites and the web application's user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team and backend development team to produce best in class front end experience for our clients
  • Maintaining a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Delight and amaze our clients with your work.
  • Participate in the Drupal community.
  • Be actively involved in our content creation process. Share your expertise on our blog.
Required Technical Skills
  • HTML 5/CSS 3/JS - Front End Theming / Development.
  • Strong CSS skills essential and exposure to a css pre-processor such as SASS & LESS an advantage.
  • Responsive Web Design skills with experience working with frontend frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap.
  • Proficient in converting PSD compositions into HTML and CSS markup.
  • Development of Responsive, cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
  • Must have high attention to detail, capable of pixel-perfect page construction that performs well across browsers.
  • Must write clean, semantic, valid markup and modular, cascading, reusable CSS.
  • Must have knowledge of Javascript/jQuery.  
  • Accessibility Guidelines a plus.
  • Knowledge of common jQuery plugins a plus (e.g., Colorbox, Cycle, ScrollTo, Flexslider, Timeline)
  • Familiarity with version control GIT - Basic Working Knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA an advantage.
  • Agile/SCRUM methodology experience is an advantage.
