Celebrating 2024 Successes: Monsoon’s Christmas Party All-Hands in Milan
Changing destinations from last year’s lovely gathering in Lisbon, the Monsoon Consulting team gathered this year on Black Friday in the shopping capital of Europe, Milan. We took this opportunity to celebrate a year full of remarkable achievements and set our sights on the exciting opportunities that 2025 holds.
A Year to Remember
This year has been a standout for Monsoon Consulting, marked by significant milestones and recognitions:
- Double Win at the UK eCommerce Awards: We were thrilled to take home two awards for our project with Punch Pubs, earning titles for Best Food and Drink Website of the Year and Best B2B Website of the Year.
- Middle East Expansion: Our footprint expanded into the Middle East with new offices opening in Dubai and Riyadh. We proudly exhibited at two prestigious events, Expand North Star and Biban24, marking a successful entry into these dynamic markets.
Reflecting and Planning at the All-Hands Meeting
The day began with an all-hands meeting, delayed slightly due to strikes at the airport, where the entire team came together to recap this year’s highlights. From award nominations and wins to major project launches and global growth, there was plenty to celebrate.
We took the time to commemorate and recognise the incredible achievements of our teams across various projects throughout the year. Their hard work, creativity, and dedication have been the driving force behind our success, and we are truly thankful to have such a kind and hardworking group of Monsooners making it all possible.
The meeting covered a variety of topics, including business visions, goals, new prospects, marketing initiatives, and events. We also reflected on the furthering of our innovative B2B eCommerce solution, Apex, and the development plans for 2025.
We also contextualised the year in retrospect, including putting hours spent on various projects in perspective with some very interesting statistics. We also used this time to align on our goals for the year ahead, ensuring we’re ready to tackle 2025 with the same energy and focus, inspired by the collaboration and resilience demonstrated by the team throughout 2024.
Prosecco, Pasta, and Pavlova
Following the meeting, we indulged in a festive dinner filled with delicious Italian cuisine and plenty of good spirits with members who joined us from across the globe–including Brazil, Ukraine, and South Africa. We also celebrated the birthday of one of our newest staff members, Anna Tsarkova.
It was a wonderful opportunity to unwind, share stories, and celebrate the friendships that make our team so special. Toasts were made, laughter echoed, and the spirit of the season was truly felt by all in a cosy restaurant that felt like we were having dinner in someone’s home.
Exploring the Charm of Milan
For some team members, the celebration didn’t end there. Over the weekend, they explored Milan’s iconic landmarks, from the stunning Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to the majestic Duomo di Milano. They enjoyed authentic Italian cuisine, long sightseeing walks, and immersed themselves in the rich culture and history of the city.
