This upgrade has yielded impressive outcomes: attracting over 100,000 new users in a year, increasing the total value of donations by 7.5%, and significantly boosting online engagement.

Beyond just a website build, this site has become an important resource. It simplifies access to local services and provides reliable information for families and individuals, enhancing community engagement at both local and national levels. The redesign has not only raised Enable Ireland’s online profile but also significantly increased the number of donations, boosted fundraising, and volunteer recruitment.

A FEW CHALLENGES

Enable Ireland, operating across 14 counties, is a national disability service provider, supporting children and adults with physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities, and autism. Every year they support over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities to achieve maximum independence, choice, and inclusion in their local communities.

Recognising the evolving digital landscape, particularly post-COVID, Enable Ireland saw the urgency to enhance their online accessibility and broaden service outreach. This digital shift aimed to meet the new expectations of service users and owners, families, and the public, ensuring better digital service access.

This has been a game-changer in how the organisation connects with its community. Users can find information they need–whether it’s expert advice or local resources–with greater ease.

Let’s talk numbers: they’ve increased the total number of users by 225% and the number of individual donations grew 24% in the six months after launch, compared with the same period in 2022. As a result, there was a total 7.5% increase in overall donation value. The Volunteer, Services, and Vacancies pages are driving engagement, with views up by 14%, 116%, and 46% respectively.
