PROJECT OVERVIEW

Heat Merchants Group, an entirely Irish-owned company, embarked on a digital transformation with Monsoon Consulting, focusing on a B2B eCommerce platform. The project’s goal was to digitally showcase their extensive product catalogue and facilitate real-time B2B ordering. Implemented on Adobe Magento Commerce, the platform includes features such as live pricing, stock availability checkers, click-and-collect functionality, and custom transaction reports.

This significant digital shift aimed to enhance Heat Merchants’ capabilities, effectively serving both their network of suppliers and business customers.

Heat Merchants Group is a wholly Irish owned company trading as Heat Merchants and Tubs & Tiles. The group has 32 Heat Merchants branches and 12 Tubs & Tiles showrooms. 

Heat Merchants supplies a comprehensive portfolio of heating, plumbing and renewable energy solutions for both domestic and commercial projects. The company also provides technical support services to customers including heating system design and specification, commissioning, ancillary certification, after-sale service, and installer training.

The sole objective of this project has been to allow Heat Merchants to present a full digital display of all projects in the company’s catalogue. As well as to facilitate a new business model for real-time B2B ordering for their network of suppliers and business customers. 

OUR SOLUTIONS

Along with a detailed creative and brand alignment exercise, our team has created a visually pleasing and functional digital experience to allow customers to access their personal account, browse products, and conduct business in a seamless and efficient manner.

Over 12 months, Monsoon Consulting’s multi-disciplined project team has been working closely with the whole team at Heat Merchants, taking the company on a new journey into the world of B2B eCommerce.

After a competitive pitch process, we chose Monsoon Consulting to be our digital and eCommerce partners for both the Heat Merchants B2B site and our B2C business, Tubs & Tiles. This was a completely new venture for the business and it has been a very involved project working with a number of key stakeholders across the group as we look to develop our digital offerings for all customers existing and new.
